History of At Home

Beginning with one store in Schertz, TX, in 1979, At Home started off as Garden Ridge Pottery. In 2014, the company rebranded to the At Home name, complete with a new logo, showroom floorplan and blue and gray color palette. The private equity firm Hellman & Friedman acquired the Texas-based retailer in 2021.

With over 200 stores in 40 states and an online catalog that offers curbside pickup as well as shipping and next-day delivery, At Home gives customers plenty of opportunities to shop for furniture and decor either in showrooms or the comfort of their own homes.

Environmental impact is important to At Home as a brand. The company refurbishes existing commercial properties to create new stores. With this strategy, the retailer reduces demolition and construction waste and pollution and avoids using resources needed for a new building.

At Home also partners with Habitat for Humanity to help people become self-reliant homeowners. The brand pledges its support to helping individuals and families in need of housing and promotes the construction of safe, stable communities through a variety of charitable campaigns.

Where is At Home Furniture Made?

At Home sources products from several overseas partners in China, Vietnam, India, Turkey and Mexico. The company emphasizes its commitment to ethically sourced items by ensuring that participating manufacturers follow strict labor, health, safety and environmental standards with competitive wages for their employees.

At Home Furniture Quality

As a brand that stands behind its products, At Home allows customers to return items without a receipt, with the exception of mattresses and sale items, as long as purchases include their original packaging. Online shoppers can also read customer reviews on every product on the brand’s website.
